“HERITAGE IS POWER” is a piece inspired by the heritage inside us that does not hide. Ms. Grace–a woman who IS her name, an example for any person who wants to dig as deep as ancestry to be better.

 Boo, as a mostly European mutt, recognized the way she is cut off from the deep strength that can be found in heredity and wanted to share the idea that through our ancestors we have a great superpower.

Pita shows daily homage to her past; her heritage.  In May-June 2020, #BLM protests have helped us move towards equality. THAT is power in heritage. The red first layer stencil, “ANOTHER BROKEN HEART” is meant to tell the story behind her beautiful face–that she had undoubtedly dealt with struggle in her life, yet a beautiful face hides the lies of a broken heart. Faces tell a million stories and even more lies. Keep standing together to reach the goal of #peace and to no longer hide the heritage of struggle.
